Volunteer - Application and Mandatory Orientation

Here are some reminders about signing up to become a volunteer at Calabash.  All volunteers must apply YEARLY and attend ONE volunteer orientation before being volunteering begins (no exceptions).

Volunteer Orientation Dates/TImes:

1. August 14 @ 8:10 AM - Auditorium - REGISTER HERE

2. September 1, 2026 @ 9:00 AM via Zoom - REGISTER HERE

3. October 1, 2026 @ 9:00 AM via Zoom - REGISTER HERE

4. November 2, 2026 @ 3:00 PM - via Zoom - REGISTER HERE

APPLY ONLINE:

1. APPLY ONLINE HERE - YEARLY - make sure to include DATE OF TB - do not sign up until you have current TB test AND office has a hard copy of your TB results.

2. New volunteers: Please process your TB Certificate of Completion with a medical practitioner prior to applying. This will expedite your application process. The form you will use is available here. Visit https://achieve.lausd.net/volunteer for more information.

3. All volunteers will be screened through CA Megan's Law Database.

4. All volunteers must attend ONE mandatory volunteer training each year.

5. Volunteers are not allowed on campus during teacher's breaks/lunch areas/playgrounds.  

6. Must sign in and out with VOLUNTEER BADGE worn at all times.

7. Children/Babies are not allowed on campus when volunteering.
