Welcome Letter

Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year!  My name is Hope Kelly and I have the pleasure of being your child’s teacher this year!  I cannot wait for the exciting journey we will take together as we learn all about the world around us.  First grade is going to be a year of wonderful growth as your child will become more responsible and will be challenged in new and exciting ways. This year we will be exploring literature, new science concepts, learning many new math strategies, and how to be a productive citizen.   We will spend time together reading amazing books and becoming better writers.  We will explore exciting math topics like geometry, algebra and measurement!  I am looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and laughter with all of you!
