Meet the Teacher
Hello! Welcome to Calabash! I am very happy to say this is my 21st year teaching and my third year at Calabash. I have taught Kindergarten for 18 years at my previous school, TK for one year, and last school year I taught a TK/Kinder split class. I am thrilled to be back in Kindergarten this school year. I have always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl. My dream finally became a reality in 2004. I have been happily married for 19 years and have an amazing 16 1/2 year old son named Daniel and a beautiful 12 1/2 year old girl named Sophia.
Education:
I was born and raised in West Hollywood and attended all three schools in LAUSD (Rosewood Avenue Elementary, Bancroft Junior High, and Fairfax High School). I received my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and my clear Multiple Subject Credential in 2004 from California State University, Northridge.
